January 6, 1967 (Friday)
Fillmore Auditorium
San Francisco, California
DETAILS

NOTES:
The Doors play their first of five weekends at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA. This is not to be confused with the Fillmore West, which was a larger venue Bill Graham opened in 1968 and where The Doors never played.

Special invitations are made for tonight's show (see below) and given to area radio stations by Elektra Records as a means of promoting The Doors. These invites are placed inside modified sleeves of the debut album and include a copy of the "Break On Through" single. They were given out to coincide with the album and the single's release on January 4, 1967.
