June 16, 1967 (Friday)
Action House
Island Park, New York
DETAILS

NOTES:
The Doors book two shows at the Action House in Island Park, NY. On their first night, Jim Morrison is reportedly so drunk that he tries to take off his clothes while on stage. He's ultimately stopped and the set ends after only a few songs.

The Doors' three-week engagement at Steve Paul's The Scene in New York, NY from June 12, 1967 through July 2, 1967 is likely what led to the band not being invited to perform at the Monterey Pop Festival from June 16-18, 1967.

Adding insult to injury, The Scene decides to close during the festival's weekend and cancels The Doors' June 16-18, 1967 appearances there.

The Doors instead book two shows at the Action House in Island Park, NY and a show at the Town Hall in Philadelphia.

Anyone with more information on The Doors' shows at the Action House or who saw them perform there is urged to contact me.
